Idahoans who are unable to file their income taxes by April 15th may be eligible for an automatic extension. Dan John, Tax Policy Supervisor with the Idaho State Tax Commission says in order to qualify taxpayers must first calculate how much is owed prior to filing.

Anyone who is unable to pay their taxes by April 15th should call the Tax Commission as soon as possible to discuss the matter and set up a payment plan.
