Caldwell teenagers arrested in Lewiston with stolen van

Four Caldwell-area teenagers, believed to have run away from home, were arrested in Lewiston early Tuesday morning with a stolen van.

The three 15-year-old and one 14-year-old boys face possible charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, and were being held at the Nez Perce County juvenile detention center. Authorities say the boys stole a cargo van and spent three days running away from home.

They were arrested after smashing a lantern in the parking lot of an 18th Street funeral home.  None of the four had a driver’s license.

They allegedly stole the van from a rafting company in Horseshoe Bend after hitching a ride north from Boise.
