Idaho motorists planning holiday getaways this weekend will notice something unusual at the gas pumps as prices are falling prior to one of the busiest travel times of the year.
The American Automobile Association reports that prices nationwide are on the decline despite the expected increase in demand for fuel over Memorial Day.
Dave Carlson with the Idaho Chapter of AAA says, while the relief at the pump is welcome, Idahoans are still paying more for gas than most other parts of the nation.
AAA-Idaho’s Dave Carlson comments
Missouri has the nation’s lowest average price for a gallon of regular gasoline at $2.54. Hawaii has the highest average price at $3.56.
