Idaho Democratic gubernatorial candidate Keith Allred is keeping up his fundraising lead over incumbent Republican Butch Otter.
Allred reported last week that he had raised more than $118,000 during a four-week period in May and June and now has more than $189,000 cash on hand. During the same period, Otter raised more than $95,000 and has more than $161,000 cash on hand.
The campaign finance report is the last required of gubernatorial candidates until September.
Otter, seeking a second term, beat five challengers last month to win the GOP nomination. It’s the second straight campaign finance reporting period in which he has trailed Allred in fundraising.
The reports also show Allred spending less during the period, with Allred spending nearly $59,000 compared to more than $135,000 by Otter. (AP)
