The Lewiston Fire Department is reminding those who plan to incorporate fireworks into their Independence Day celebration to be careful.
Fire Marshal Linda Steputat says there are only a select few fireworks that are legal to possess and light within the the Lewiston city limits.

Fireworks are only allowed to be set off now through July 5th between the hours of 9am and 11pm.
Valley fire departments encourage the public to attend local fireworks displays that are conducted by trained professionals. For more information contact the nearest fire department.
