Audio: AAA preaches back to school safety

The American Automobile Association is preaching safety to motorists as children prepare to return to school.

When schools re-open, young cyclists and school-age pedestrians face greater risks, due to their inexperience on roadways and some risk-taking behavior.

Dave Carlson with AAA-Idaho says there are a few things drivers can and should do to avoid potentially deadly encounters.

Additionally, parents should also sit down and work out a plan for the safest way to school and practice the route before school starts.
