The local high school football season gets underway for several teams Friday.
In the Whitepine League six teams are in action. Lewis County will host Clearwater Valley in Nezperce; Kendrick travels to Weippe to face Timberline; and Genesee is home against Lapwai.
In the Long Pin Conference – Salmon River takes on Notus in Riggins.
In the Central Idaho League, Grangeville opens the season at home against St. Mary’s with live radio coverage on AM 1230 KORT. And Orofino will play host to McCall-Donnelly with live radio coverage on AM 1300 KLER.
On the Palouse, Moscow opens its season at home against Coeur d’Alene at Bear Field.
