Ron Ramos, who has been Executive Director of Family Promise of the Lewis-Clark Valley, for a little more than two years, has been named Executive Director of the Twin County United Way.
Ramos, who begins his new job on September 7th, replaces Angie Titus, who resigned after 4½ years at the TCUW helm to become director of community engagement for Community Action Partnership.
Ramos was selected by a search committee composed of members of the Board of Directors and the head of one of the 24 non-profit agencies and programs that the organization serves in Nez Perce and Asotin counties. His hiring was then approved by the entire Board of Directors.
This past campaign year, Twin County United Way raised more than $690,000 – $30,000 more than the previous year.
The 2011 campaign unofficially has started but the organization will hold its annual kick off events at the Clarkston Chamber of Commerce’s Lunch Exchange on September 8th at noon at the Quality Inn and then at the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce’s Good Morning Lewiston on September 10th at 6:45 a.m. at the Red Lion.
As the Executive Director of Family Promise, Ramos coordinated and directed the program components, including fundraising, volunteer recruitment and retention, working with other agencies, day care, and transportation to help those families in need.
Ramos previous worked at Foundation for His Ministry for five years in Baja California, Mexico, and then two years at Valdosta Women’s Health Center in Georgia before moving to the valley with his wife, Brooke, in late 2007.
