A north Idaho man is hospitalized following a motorcycle accident east of Lowell on U.S. Highway 12 Tuesday morning.
According to Idaho State Police, 51-year old Brent Swank of Laclede, was traveling west bound on a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle at about 7:40am, when he lost control of the bike while negotiating a curve on wet pavement near milepost 124 and slid into the guardrail.
He was transported by Kooskia ambulance to the area of milepost 120 where Backcountry Medivac airlifted him to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston with unspecified injuries. Swank was wearing a helmet.
