A new report ranks Idaho U.S. Senator Jim Risch as the 13th wealthiest among the 535 members of Congress.
According to the Capitol Hill news outlet called The Hill, Risch’s wealth is estimated at 20-point-1 million dollars, based on financial disclosure reports filed with the House and Senate.
Risch made his early money as a Boise lawyer and then invested in ranches and other real estate.
Risch ranks right behind House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and just ahead of New Jersey Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen.
Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry tops the list at $189 million. (Idaho Statesman)
