The American Automobile Association expects Labor Day travel to be up this year across the country compared to a year ago.
Dave Carlson with the Idaho Chapter of AAA says experts are predicting more than 34 million Americans, or 9.9-percent more than a year ago, will leave home over the holiday weekend.
Carlson comments on expected uptick in holiday travel:
Idahoans who intend to travel over the holiday can expect to pay more for gasoline.
Gem state drivers are currently paying the fifth-highest price for gas at $2.99 per gallon.
