A 60-year-old Clarkston man will stand trial November 28th on child rape charges in Asotin County Superior Court.
Richard Thueson has pleaded not guilty to three counts of indecent liberties, one count of first-degree child rape and five counts of second-degree child rape, all felonies. He is being held housed in the Asotin County Jail on $1 million bond.
Thueson is accused of inappropriately touching a 28-year-old developmentally disabled woman in 2008 and raping an 11-year-old developmentally disabled girl several times in 2010. Both were participants in a therapeutic horsemanship program he ran at his home on Florence Lane in the Clarkston Heights.
Court officials could call 100 prospective jurors for the trial, which is expected to last four days.
