Warrior men pound Thunder in first of two-game series

P.J. Bolte

The Lewis-Clark State College men’s basketball team had little trouble in beating Concordia University-Alberta 103-65 in a non-league game Tuesday night at the LCSC Activity Center.

Junior post P.J. Bolte led six players in double figures scoring with a game-high 25 points as the Warriors hit on 56.5 percent of their field goals in the route.

The LC bench played a major role once again as the Warrior reserves outscored the Thunder reserves 62-25.

Defensively, LC forced 19 turnovers and held the Canadian club to 42.9 percent shooting from the floor.

It was the third time this season that LC scored in triple digits and the 5th time the team has put up more than 92 points in a game. The Warriors improve to 8-2, while the Thunder fall to 4-7.

The teams will play another game Wednesday night with tip-off set for 7pm at the Activity Center with live radio coverage on Talk Radio 950 KOZE-AM and online at www.koze-sports.com.
