A stolen BMW sport utility vehicle was pulled from Mann Lake southeast of Lewiston.
Nez Perce County officials believe the vehicle entered the lake sometime late Sunday or early Monday, because fishermen said it wasn’t there on Sunday.
The SUV was last seen by its owners at their home at about 9 PM Sunday. They had not reported it missing when it was found Monday morning.
Authorities say it appears whoever took the vehicle broke a window out on the east side of the lake, then drove it around to the west side and allowed it to roll down a boat ramp and into the water.
