Emergency crews responded to the report of a body in the Snake River Monday afternoon. Authorities were alerted to an abandoned vehicle on the Southway Bridge.
A body was spotted floating below the bridge and rescuers rescued an older man, who was transported by boat to the Southway Boat Ramp where an ambulance was waiting.
No other information has been made available, including whether the unidentified man fell or jumped from the bridge.
The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing.
