Senior Abe Lodwick scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Washington State University men’s basketball team to a 72-55 win over Oregon State Wednesday night in the semifinals of the College Basketball Invitational tournament in Corvallis.
WAZZU improves to 18-16.
The Cougars advance to the best-of-3 championship series against Pittsburgh. WSU will host Pitt for Game 1 on Monday night in Pullman with a 7 p.m. tipoff at Beasley Coliseum. Game 2 will, be Wednesday at Pitt, and Game 3, if necessary, will be in Pittsburgh on Friday, March 30.
