Abe Lodwick scored 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, Reggie Moore added 14 points, and the Washington State University men’s basketball team edged Pittsburgh 67-66 Monday night in Pullman in Game 1 of the best-of-3 championship series of the College Basketball Invitational.
The Cougars were will without leading scorer Brock Motum due to an ankle injury. Still, WAZZU improved to 19-16 and heads to PITT for Game 2 Wednesday.
Game 3, if necessary, will be played in Pittsburgh on Friday.
