University of Idaho officials say the U.S. Department of Energy’s Nuclear Energy University Programs has awarded the school $2.56 million for nuclear research projects.
Officials say the money has been awarded to three research and development programs at UI. The money will pay for projects led by three scientists based at the Center for Advanced Energy Studies.
Also, a three-year, $50,000 annual fellowship has been awarded to UI graduate student Richard Skifton to support his doctoral studies. (AP)
