Officials at the University of Idaho say 22-year-old football player Ken McRoyal was shot to death Sunday in California.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office said McRoyal, of Carson, California, was shot during an argument at 1:30 a.m. Sunday at the Brewery Lofts, a living and working space for artists.
McRoyal walked-on as a receiver at Idaho after two seasons at El Camino Junior College. He had earned a scholarship for the 2012 season.
McRoyal caught six passes for 35 yards in eight games in 2011. He was a native of New Orleans and moved with his family to California after Hurricane Katrina. (AP)
