Embezzlement trial date set for Lewiston woman

A 34-year-old Lewiston woman is scheduled to stand trial in August for allegedly embezzling more than $30,000 from a Clarkston business.

Kayla Robinson has pleaded not guilty in Asotin County Superior Court on a first-degree theft charge for misusing a JPI Worldwide company debit card for unauthorized personal purchases during her employment there.

First-degree theft is a Class B felony that carries a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in prison.

Her trial is set to begin Aug. 1.
