AUDIO: Idahoans will pay more at the pump than other parts of the country during holiday weekend

Motorists in Idaho and the West who are planning to travel over the Memorial Day Holiday will find gas prices on the rise at a time when they’ve been dropping nearly everywhere else in the nation.

Dave Carlson with the American Automobile Association’s Idaho Chapter says refinery problems in neighboring states is the biggest factor in higher prices at the pump.

Motorists in the Boise and Twin Falls areas are paying the lowest average price in Idaho for a gallon of gas at $3.76, while Lewiston has the highest average price at $3.96.
