Authorities continue to look for a Lewiston man who allegedly stabbed another man during a fight at Waha Lake Saturday afternoon.
According to the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office, 22-year-old Matthew Maisano is believed to have stabbed 45-year-old Wayne Kirtley once in the chest Saturday while the two men were fishing at the lake with a group of friends. Kirtley was listed in fair condition at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center on Sunday night.
Maisano is described as white, with dark hair and multiple tattoos. After returning to Lewiston Saturday night, it’s believed Maisano may have been trying to make his way to Spokane.
