The American Automobile Association is expecting a substantial uptick in the number of people traveling over the Independence Day Holiday this year.
Dave Carlso with AAA-Idaho says the organization is predicting 42.3 million Americans will take trips over the holiday – a 4.9 percent increase over last year.

Idahoans traveling over the holiday period should not expect much relief at the pump. At $3.69 per gallon, Idaho has the nation’s 6th-highest average gas prices – 31-cents higher than the national average price of $3.38.
