PFC Cody Moosman
24-year-old soldier from southeastern Idaho died Tuesday in Afghanistan when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire.
The U.S. Army said in a statement that Private First Class Cody Moosman of Preston died in Gayan Alwara Mandi. An active-duty soldier, Moosman had been assigned to a U.S. Army Unit out of Fort Riley, Kansas. He was with the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division.
Moosman’s unit was deployed in a restive region near the border with Pakistan. (AP)
