Memorial Bridge lanes in Lewiston to be reduced this week

One lane of the U.S. Highway 12 Memorial Bridge in Lewiston will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday for cleaning and sealing of the pier caps.

According to the Idaho Transportation Department, the westbound right hand lane of the bridge will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until about 3 p.m. both days for the repairs. Westbound traffic will be restricted to an 11-foot width because of equipment operating on the bridge deck. Traffic inbound to Lewiston from the north will be required to use the left inside lane.

Motorists should expect delays and slight congestion where the two lanes are reduced to one. In anticipation of the merge, motorists are encouraged to move to the left lane before approaching the bridge. (ITD)
