Sen. Maria Cantwell
Washington U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell raised nearly $1.2 million during the last quarter of her re-election campaign.
The Democratic incumbent continued her strong financial lead over Republican challenger Michael Baumgartner, who raised nearly $240,000 during the same time period.
According to filings this week with the Federal Election Commission, Cantwell has $5.2 million in cash on hand to spend. Baumgartner, a state senator from Spokane, has $169,000.
Cantwell is seeking her third term in office. (AP)
