Legendary University of Idaho broadcaster Bob Curtis died Wednesday night at his home in Colfax, Washington at the age of 87.
Over a span of 50 years, “The Voice of the Vandals” called 540 consecutive football games as well as hundreds of basketball contests.
Curtis was named the Idaho Sportscaster of the Year 33 times and was the recipient of the 2008 National Football Foundation Chris Schenkel Award. He was also a member of the Vandal Athletics Hall of Fame; North Idaho Hall of Fame; and the Inland Empire Hall of Fame.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, August 3rd, at 10 a.m. at the Baptist Church at Colfax.
