Lewiston Police have arrested a man for allegedly taking “upskirt” photos of women with his mobile phone. Police say the illegal activity happened at stores in the Lewiston area and that there may be additional victims that they haven’t heard from or identified.
On Wednesday, 46-year-old Randy Merrill was arrested for one count of Video Voyeurism.
Police allege that Merrill followed his intended victims through stores and waited for an opportunity to take pictures of the women. When the victims would be looking at an item on a shelf, Merrill would get as close as possible and pretend to look for an item on a lower shelf while taking a picture up the victims’ skirts.
Lewiston Police say there may be more victims in the case. Anyone who believes they may have been victimized is asked to contact the Lewiston Police Department at 208-746-0171.
