For the third day in a row, temepratures in the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley broke through the triple-digit barrier on Tuesday, setting a record as well for the date with a thermometer reading of 107 degrees.
The new high temperature mark for August 7 surpasses the old mark of 105 degrees, which was set in 1983, according to the National Weather Service in Spokane.
It also marked the eighth time this summer that temperatures in the valley have hit or surpassed 100 degrees.
