A Clarkston woman was arrested on allegations of felony eluding police Wednesday afternoon after crashing the vehicle she was driving near 16th Avenue and Ashley Drive in Asotin County.
Authorities say 23-year-old Jessica Lehmons was taken into custody following the one-vehicle accident for reportedly attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle. She and her passenger were uninjured, and he was released at the scene. Deputies took Lehmons to the Asotin County Jail.
According to the sheriff’s office, a deputy was attempting to make a traffic stop when the driver allegedly sped off. Lehmons was reportedly arrested last week for not having a valid driver’s license.
Police say the car turned east off Fleshman Way, jumped a curb and went through a fence before coming to a rest on a retaining wall near a building.
