Valley fire departments to pay tribute to 9-11 victims Tuesday

LC Valley and surrounding fire departments will pay tribute this Tuesday to the emergency responders and civilians who perished in the attacks on September 11th, 2001 with a procession of emergency vehicles culminating with a short ceremony at Pioneer Park in Lewiston.

Fire engines and other vehicles will gather at 2nd and Monroe Street in Asotin at 5pm. The procession will begin at 5:30 and proceed past fire stations in Asotin, Asotin County Fire District 1, Clarkston and Lewiston where flags will be lowered to half-staff as the procession motors past each station.

The procession will come to its final destination at Pioneer Park a approximately 6:45pm.

Citizens are encouraged to attend and are advised to bring their own seating or blankets.

Officials say this year’s tribute will last about 15 minutes.
