WSU student injured after falling from third-story frat window

Pullman police say a Washington State University student was hospitalized after falling three stories from a fraternity house window early Friday morning.

Officers responded to the Phi Kappa Tau house on Northeast California Street at approximately 3 a.m. to find a 19-year-old man lying on his stomach in a basement window well at the front of the house. He was conscious and breathing, and was taken to Pullman Regional Hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Witnesses say the man fell backward out of a third-story window. Police say they detected the smell of alcohol on the student.

The incident was the second fall from a local fraternity in three days. A 21-year-old University of Idaho student suffered severe injuries Wednesday morning when he fell two stories from the Alpha Tau Omega house in Moscow.
