Idaho revenue collections increase 3.7 percent over September projections

Idaho general fund revenue beat expectations by 3.7 percent in September.

Total revenue was $239.2 million. The increase came from strong individual income tax receipts and a 13.2 percent increase in withholding.

Sales tax collection, which beat the forecast by less than one percent, was $97.2 million, in September. That’s up 6.8 percent from September a year ago.

Since the beginning of the state’s fiscal year in July, total tax receipts are $665.3 million, up 0.5 percent from the projected amount.  (Idaho Statesman)
