Oregon State Police say a 28-year-old commercial truck driver from Orofino was killed after his truck went off U.S. Highway 101 on the Oregon coast, through a ditch and struck an embankment.
The trucker was identified as Drew Elliot.
Investigators say the truck was traveling at 30 mph when both the tractor cab and its trailer overturned on their side near Seal Rock. Elliot was pronounced dead at the scene.
The highway was closed for about 90 minutes and traffic was restricted for several hours.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. (AP)
