NPC commissioner’s sexual assault trial formally moved to next week

Mike Grow

The sexual assault trial of Nez Perce County Commissioner Mike has been formally postponed until next week.

A clerk for Fourth District Judge Darla Williamson sent an email to the Valley County court office Monday saying the trial would begin next Monday, Oct. 22, in Cascade. No reason was given for the delay.

The 50-year-old Grow has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of forcible sexual penetration with a foreign object, stemming from an alleged incident with a woman in April 2011 at a residence near Donnelly.

Grow will complete his term as commissioner in January. He was defeated in the Republican primary this spring in his bid for re-election.
