Bolte claims Frontier Conference honor

Lewis-Clark State College forward P.J. Bolte has been named the Frontier Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

The 6-6 senior from Tacoma shot 55.8 percent from the field in two games at the Clearwater River Casino & Resort Invitational in Lewiston over the weekend.

Bolte was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player after averaging 25.5 points and nine rebounds in the Warriors’ victories over College of Idaho and Concordia University.

For the season, Bolte is scoring 19.4 points per game for the undefeated Warriors and has also grabbed 8.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 60 percent from the field. He’s been the team’s leading scorer in four of their first five games.

The Warriors head to Spokane this weekend for a pair of non-conference games against Cascade Collegiate Conference opponents.

LCSC plays Northwest Christian on Friday and Northwest University on Saturday. Both games will be played at Spokane Falls Community College.
