AUDIO: Thursday’s open house in Lewiston discusses plans to dredge lower Snake River

us_army_corps_of_engineersThe U.S. Army Corps of Engineers sponsors an open house meeting in Lewiston on Thursday to discuss plans to dredge the lower Snake River.

Corps spokesman Bruce Henrickson says the meeting focuses on a draft environmental impact statement for proposed sediment management.

Thursday’s meeting will be in the Clearwater Room of the Williams Conference Center at Lewis-Clark State College. The open house begins at 5:30 p.m., with a presentation an question and answer session to follow at 6:30 p.m.

Also, the Corps has extended the public comment period for the DEIS to March 26.  The previous deadline was Feb. 8.
