The Lewis-Clark State College baseball team opens the 2013 season this weekend at home in the NAIA West Tournament at Harris Field.

Turnover is the big story this season as the 8th-ranked Warriors have a new coach in Jeremiah Robbins and nearly 60-percent of the roster features players that weren’t on the team last year.

When asked what the team’s strengths will be, coach Robbins points to the pitching staff where the team’s top-two starters, Anthony Armanino and Michael Noteware anchor what looks to be a quality staff.

Coach Robbins comments on the pitching staff:

Along with the Warriors, this weekend’s tournament will include the University of British Columbia and Concordia University out of Portland.

LC will play UBC at 3pm PST Friday and Concordia at 3pm PST Saturday before playing a double-header Sunday against UBC and Concordia beginning at 11am PST.

The Friday and Sunday games will be broadcast live on Talk Radio 950 KOZE-AM and online at www.koze-sports.com.
