UI’s Barone named WAC men’s basketball player of the year

The University of Idaho’s Kyle Barone has been named the Western Athletic Conference men’s basketball Player of the Year.

The senior post led the WAC in scoring and rebounding, at 18.2 points per game and 10.9 rebounds per game.

Barone was the only Vandal named to the All-WAC men’s basketball teams.

Idaho heads into the WAC tournament at Las Vegas this week as the sixth seed, facing third-seeded New Mexico State on Thursday. (Spokesman Review)
