Pullman Police Detectives have arrested the female suspect wanted in connection with the assault of a Washington State University faculty member that occurred on March 30, 2013.
An anonymous tip received over this past weekend led to the arrest of 21-year-old Madeline Fouts.
Fouts was brought to the Pullman Police Department for questioning Wednesday morning and was subsequently arrested at 12:30 pm for felony rendering criminal assistance and providing false statements to a public servant – a misdemeanor. Fouts is a Washington State University student and Pullman resident.
41-year-old David Warner was allegedly assaulted while trying to break up a disturbance. He sustained severe head injuries and has been hospitalized in Spokane in critical condition.
Police say they have solid leads on the remaining three male suspects and are aggressively following those leads at this time. Authorities are still asking for any witnesses to the assault to contact the Pullman Police Department at (509) 334-0802.
