AUDIO: Idaho’s free fishing day is Saturday

idfg squareSaturday is Free Fishing Day in Idaho and the Idaho Department of Fish and Game invites anglers of all ages, residents and non-residents alike, to celebrate the day by fishing anywhere in the state without a license.

Jen Bruns with the agency’s Clearwater Office says several events are scheduled at regional fisheries.

Though fishing license requirements are suspended Saturday, all other rules, such as limits or tackle restrictions, remain in effect.

Free fishing day includes salmon; anglers don’t need a license or salmon permit, but they are still subject to all bag and possession limits.
