Moscow man killed in crash at top of Lewiston Hill

A Moscow man died Thursday in a rollover crash near the top of the Lewiston Hill.

According to the Idaho State Police, 68-year-old Gary Bishop was driving south on U.S. Highway 95 at about 1 p.m. when his 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee swerved over the fog line at the intersection with Leon Road and drifted into the median, striking the emergency crossing area.

The vehicle went airborne, landing in the area between the north- and southbound lanes.  It rolled before coming to a stop on its wheels.

Bishop was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.
