Rollover accident kills Oregon woman near Elk City

An Oregon woman died and a Culdesac man was injured following a single-vehicle rollover accident Sunday afternoon near Elk City.

According to the Idaho State Police, 20-year-old Megan Lyle, of Prineville, Oregon, was southbound on U.S. Forest Service Road 234 near Red River Road in a 1987 Toyota 4-Runner when she failed to negotiate a curve. She lost control of the vehicle, it overturned and she was ejected.

Lyle died while en route to the hospital, while her passenger, Nathan Manfull, was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston where he was treated and released.

Lyle was not wearing a seat belt.
